↠Personality Description↞
Direct | Perceptive | Unafraid
Risky | Unstructured | Insensitive
Risky | Unstructured | Insensitive
"I don't find it enjoyable when people try to be me, that's just kinda rude."
Starting off, Flint is a very direct tom. He’ll say what needs to be said, with no tiptoeing around it. He talks with a purpose, and not to just talk. Flint is also direct about his own needs, not just what he points out in others. This tom hates mind games, anything that is not said clearly to him will need to be restated, as he is a very “this means this.” type of cat. If A doesn’t lead to B, then he is confused.
Another thing is Flint is perceptive. He notices the smallest changes in others, and things. With his blunt nature and tendency to be very direct, Flint will often call these changes out, not thinking twice about how it might make the other cat feel. He’s not very good with emotions, his own or any other cat’s. In fact, emotions oftentimes scare the dark-colored tom. Though his perceptive nature does help him connect with other cats on a personal level, something that is quite hard for Flint to do. He’s not sure how to really connect with cats, all he knows how to do is to just kind of talk to them, and be there. He’s never known how to get close to another cat on a personable level.
Flint is also very bold and unafraid, always being the first one to put himself in danger or the first one to notice the danger at that. His ability to see small shifts in cats expands beyond that, he can see small shifts in the natural world as well. Flint knows that lives matter, and he treats other cat’s lives as if they matter. But his own, well, Flint could care less about. He’s always flinging himself into danger, not exactly knowing what’s in store for him. Another thing is that Flint is very practical, though it is because he likes to find ideas that he can have a “hands-on” experience with. He likes to think, but his thinking is quick and on the go, always grabbing the smallest, but most simple, ways to put his idea into action, and have a fun thrill-ride.
Even though he’s not the best at being personable, Flint is a very fun cat to be around. He has an addicting energy that you can latch onto, and he’ll help you see a better side of things, a more fun side of things. Flint is all about the fun in life, he thrives and searches for things that will make his heart race and push his mind to the max. This ideology is easily passed to others, giving them a thrill-ride that they may need to just let go of life for a moment.
Now while Flint may think that his “fun thrill-rides” are harmless, he often doesn’t realize how dangerous some of his ideas can truly be. Most of the time all Flint thinks about is the fun for himself, his perceptive nature doesn’t go that far into seeing the true dangers of something. He always makes sure that no other cats get hurt if they wanted to tag along. He’s quite cautious about that sort of thing, knowing it will tear him apart if someone is hurt on his watch. As stated before, he’s very emotionally unstable, and his emotions are quite intense, everything he feels is intense. Another fault of Flint’s is that he is very impatient. His high energy levels often have him pushing himself, and doing more things at one time than another cat might be able to accomplish. But he hates waiting, he wants what he wants, or needs, at that moment. He also finds it hard to wait out things like a storm, or danger, and would rather face it then wait and hide. On the flight or fight scale, Flint is very much a fighter. He’s ready for anything, ready to dive into it, even at the cost of his life. He often hurts himself, but his humorous nature allows him to laugh it off most of the time. He also hates it when other cats try to help him, it makes him feel small and useless. This plays more into his defiant nature, as well as the fact that he refuses to be a part of social norms. He’s not the type of cat to follow any status quo, and often finds it difficult to do regular, day to day activities. Things that have a repetitive pattern. He needs to always be changing, whether it be himself, or just the things around him. Because of this trait, Flint is also very unstructured. He doesn’t have a big regard for rules, and he’ll break them if he sees the need for them to get broken. He has no plan in his life, and just lives it as it goes, truly going with the flow. The last fault of this tomcat’s is that he often misses the bigger picture. He sees an opportunity and grabs it, but only gets little parts accomplished at a time. He sees the trees, but not the whole forest. He’s a very “tunnel-visioned” type of cat, focusing on the here and the now, not thinking of the future consequences for his actions.
So truly, Flint is a complicated cat, with all his ups and downs. He may be difficult to get along with and a big rule-breaker, but he knows how to have fun, and he truly can be the life of the party.
"But then again, they can't really be me right? I'm constantly changing it up on them."

But of course, I'm attracted to both male and female cats, being Bisexual. As far as appearance goes, there's just something about brown tabby pelts that draws me in. And green eyes. No idea why, I just find that particular color attractive. Green eyes are as if you're getting lost in a forest. Especially the deep green ones. Those are my favorite."

↠Lifestory↞
Flint was born as a loner, to his loner mother, Glisten. His father was a Thunderclan cat, Ashenice, and Flint didn’t meet him for a while. Flint was born with four sisters, who were named Ashes, Steel, Stone, and Slate respectively. They all had their father’s short gray fur, while Flint was different, who inherited his mother’s thick black fur. Flint was born in the late leaf-fall, and it was starting to get cold. His two sisters, Ashes and Stone, were two weak, and died one moon into their lives, something Flint barely remembers. His mother on the other hand, was devastated at the loss of her two kits. She decided to move the family closer to Thunderclan Territory, figuring that it might be safer near her mate. Ashenice had told Glisten he’d always wait for her, and so she had decided it was time to go back to him. Nearing the end of Flint’s second moon, the small family’s den was attacked by a fox while their mother was out hunting. She ran back as fast as she could, but found Steel dead and Slate dying, with injured Flint crying over her, mewling for Glisten. His two remaining sisters were now dead, and Flint walked away from that attack with a long scar underneath his chin, down across his chest. Most of it is now covered by his long fur. With the traumatic events in his kithood, his mother tried her best to protect her last kit and only son, spoiling him beyond Starclan. She gave him everything he wanted, but she was extremely protective, keeping him from doing anything interesting. The two came to Thunderclan, Glisten earning a warrior name, Glisteningcry, and rekindling with Ashenice, who was saddened by her story of traveling here, but grateful she made it all the same. Ashenice loved the newly named Flintkit, and showered him with fatherly affection and love. He was slightly annoyed that Glisteningcry was so protective over Flintkit, knowing that if he was going to survive in a clan, he needed to be tough. But there was no problem there. Hating to be restricted, Flintkit risked his every chance to have some fun, even if it meant danger. His mother highly disproved of this, but his father loved how ready his kit was to leap into action.
|||||
Becoming Flintpaw not too long after he joined Thunderclan, the dark-colored apprentice didn’t have any kithood friends he could connect with. The tomcat was always a loner, but then a she-cat slightly older than him, Flightpaw, decided to become his friend. She was bold and aggressive, getting along perfectly with Flintpaw’s risky and unstructured personality. Flintpaw was glad he found a friend, but he wasn’t too fond of his mentor. His mentor was a she-cat named Shadowheart, and Flintpaw found her very boring. He also felt like she was treating him unfairly. She would always push him hard when battle training, disrupt him when hunting because it was a “learning experience”, and she would watch his every movement. Flintpaw began to get tired of her, he started hanging out a lot more with another warrior by the name of Rockspirit. Rockspirit was an easygoing tomcat, but he seemed to be able to read Flintpaw’s mind. Flintpaw grew to adore this tomcat, like an older brother. Later on in his grueling apprenticeship, there was one battle practice that flipped Flintpaw’s world around. Shadowheart attacked him with her claws unsheathed, something Flintpaw was sure was not allowed. But, with his thick coat of fur and brute size, plus almost being the age of warrior, Flintpaw easily protected himself. Shadowheart than began telling him how he was the offspring a loner, a cat that shouldn’t even be in the clan. Flintpaw was sick of being told this, and his anger only grew. Shadowheart told him that he was cursed because of his loner blood, that anyone he got close to would die. Flintpaw didn’t believe this, and continued on with his apprenticeship. Soon after, he heard that his father had been killed in a badger attack. This struck Flintpaw hard, and he slowly wondered if what Shadowheart had said was true. Flintpaw than began to go to Rockspirit for comfort, knowing his mother might need alone time. While Rockspirit and him were out on a walk, a badger appeared, and attacked the two cats. They successfully chased it off, but Rockspirit was fatally wounded, dying before they could get back to camp. At this point, Flintpaw was starting to get scared. He didn’t want to believe what Shadowheart had said, but he was starting to. His best friend, Flightpaw, tried to hang out with him more, figuring that he needed some comfort. Flintpaw accepted the company, but soon started to push her away, his fear growing bigger as Shadowheart seemed to invade his mind. Flightpaw was hurt by this, but just figured he needed some time to cope with the losses of his two familial figures.
||||||
Flintpaw became Flintspirit, and he was still afraid of getting close to other cats. He still held onto his mother, but watched her like an eagle watched their prey, making sure nothing bad could happen to her. Thankfully Glisten became a full-time queen, and didn’t plan on having any more kits. So Flintspirit hoped no harm could come to her. Flightpaw, now Flightgaze, started to try and get close to Flintspirit again. He hated staying away from her, as his feelings for her had grown to more than just friends. And he hated how he was hurting her. One day she cornered him and confessed to him that she loved him, and, broken-hearted, Flintspirit told her they couldn’t be together. Flightgaze was angry and mad at him, lashing out and striking him across the face, giving him a permanent scar on his cheek. He tried to explain about Shadowheart, and how he was just trying to protect her, but she wouldn’t listen, just ran off. Flintspirit, now very hurt, decided to take his anger out on Shadowheart, who was growing old. He chased her through Thunderclan territory, yowling at her about how she ruined his life. He chased her until she suddenly fell on the ground, twitching. He found a snake with its fangs sunken deep into her rump, and Shadowheart quickly dying. Flintspirit returned to camp with the news, though he didn't care for her, the death had shook him. She had died, and he was close to her, as a mentor as apprentice. Now Flintspirit truly believed he was cursed, and strayed away from all cats. He found that Flightgaze had gotten herself a new mate, a warrior named Blackthorn, as she had retired to the nursery, expecting his kits. Flintspirit was angry because he still loved her, but he was happy that she had found happiness without him. Flightgaze died during her kitbirth, and Flintspirit blamed himself for her death, and the death of two of her kits. One kit was left behind, one who looked oddly a lot like Flint. He was blamed by Blackthorn for actually being the father of her kits, because the kit looked so much like him. (They really were Blackthorn’s kits, but the two toms were both darker furred, and Flightgaze had green eyes.) Her mate couldn’t handle the thought of caring for Nightkit, as she had been named, so he gave her to Flintspirit to care for. Flintspirit hesitantly took her in, giving her to his mother to care for, hoping that he wouldn’t be the cause of the kit’s death if he was never around. As his mother cared for Nightkit, Flintspirit was assigned to mentor Darkenedpaw, who he learned was Shadowheart’s only surviving kit. Scared beyond his mind, Flintspirit tried to be as platonic with the apprentice as possible, but he found that Darkenedpaw was oddly so much different from her mother. She was smart and kind, and very clumsy. Flintspirit seemed to forget that he was cursed for a few moons, becoming very close with his mother again, as well as his “kit”, and Darkenedpaw. He was painfully reminded though, as on a stormy night, Darkenedpaw was killed by a fox, the day before her warrior ceremony was supposed to be. Flintspirit was devastated, and he instantly cut off all ties with cats he was starting to get close to outside of his family. He didn’t want to be the cause of any more deaths. He was done.
||||||
Those events happened not too long ago for Flintspirit, but he’s living his life now, being himself, but still keeping cats at a distance. He’ll have nice, friendly conversations once in a while, but never lets himself get close to anyone. His “kit” is now Nightpaw, an apprentice to the clan, and he still has a very strained relationship with Flightgaze’s former mate Blackthorn. But he’s living life as best as he can at the point, though still believes himself to be cursed. Shadowheart still haunts his thoughts, and he feels as if she’s always the one instilling negative things into his brain. But, he’s trying his best to get over it all.
>Flintspirit ran into the Riverclan deputy, Rowanflower, once at the border, and he was reminded of how much fun it was to just simply joke around with other cats. He enjoyed his talk with her, and took a liking to the feisty ginger, knowing that maybe, having a "friend" in another clan would keep him from getting close to her, therefore, he wouldn't be the cause of her demise.
>Flintspirit was soon thereafter appointed to be the deputy of Thunderclan, and he was genuinely surprised. It was the middle of a war, and Passionstar had entrusted him with deputyship? This appointment opened something in Flintspirit's mind, as an avid believer in Starclan. He wondered if this was meant to be, and maybe, being the deputy would help him as much as he could possibly help the clan. Flintspirit knew he could handle the hard work and responsibilities of being a deputy, Rockspirit had taught him responsibility and discipline, forming him into a strong warrior, even with his recklessness and tendency to get goofy. It was the social aspect of his new rank that Flintspirit was worried about. But he's developed hope.
>Flintspirit grew closer to a She-Cat named Fuzzrush, who’s he instantly took a liking to. They became close friends pretty quickly.
>Flintspirit got his second apprentice, Minkpaw, and he absolutely adores her. He’s trying to train her to be the best she can.
>Flintspirit’s mother went missing, and he was thrown into a state of depression. Not soon after, his adoptive daughter, Nightflame, died. He was devastated by the loss of these two, but held it on at the time due to recent dog attacks.
>He became super protective of the close cats he had left, Passionstar, Fuzzrush, Minkpaw, and Cherrybubble. Even Tallmarsh a little. He’s created his own small family with them, trying to cover up his grief of losing the rest of his real family.
>A fire raked across Thunderclan territory, and Flintspirit got burnt badly in the process of trying to help everyone in the clan escape safely with Passionstar. Passionstar died the day after the fire due to smoke inhalation, leaving Flintspirit as the leader of Thunderclan.
>Flintspirit made his way to Starcave with Tallmarsh nod received his nine lives, becoming Flintstar
